I finished the Punisher Max series a few weeks ago and enjoyed it more than I think I have any other comic... is there anything similar to this? To clarify, it wasn’t really the blood and gore that I liked (although the parts that had it were good and never felt gratuitous, just part of the atmosphere) but I liked the more mature themes and there was a lot of raw emotion. The stories about the spurned mafia widow and the cannibals were particularly good. Barracuda and the baby held me too. Hell I ran thru all 70 some books in a couple weeks so I loved it all.

TLDR; any series that deals with mature, super dark themes and emotions?
