[Spoilers] Outlandish, Off-the-Wall Theory involving Doomsday Clock
Right now, there are three Jokers running around the DCU; an occurrence that seems to be linked to Dr. Manhattan mucking around with the DCU. And the Joker long held a kind of supernatural mystique about him - the fact that he's basically contractually obligated to never die, his signature lack of a definitive backstory, how he's one of the most terrifying villains of the DCU in spite of just being a crazy clown-themed human.
We've also got two clown-like villains that have just shown up from the Watchmen Universe - Marionette and Mime. Notably, they were roped in to joining the quest to bring Dr. Manhattan back to his home universe through a promise on the part of Ozymandias to help them find their missing son.
They've been portrayed as major characters in the story thus far, including no small amount of attention being paid to a flashback where, during a bank heist, Dr. Manhattan choose not to kill them because Marionette was pregnant with their now-missing son. Oh, and right now the two are running loose around Gotham City.
So what if it turns out that one of those three Jokers running around is, in fact, the missing son of Marionette and Mime, who for one reason or another Dr. Manhattan brought along with him when he skipped on over to the DCU?
