Blockchain publishing and Publica
I'm not sure how many people here have seen this yet, as it's relatively new. (Even as someone who follows cryptocurrencies, this one was under my radar for a bit.)
Publica is aiming to be a cryptocurrency that utilizes blockchain technology to fund and purchase ebooks, more or less. I've been reading up on it, and it seems like an interesting idea/project.
If you're an independent author, it's definitely something to keep an eye on, at the very least.
