Reading vs listening
I’ve noticed quite a few times on this sub where people say they “read fourteen book this month!” Then go on to say they were “audio books”.. In my eyes, this is not the same thing. A lot of people here seem to disagree with me and I am curious, why you’d think reading is the same as listening? Don’t get me wrong, I like audio books for convenience and multitasking situations, such as driving, where audio books can really make the drive enjoyable and help the time pass. But I definitely don’t get the same “absorption” listening to a story than I do when I read it... am I alone on this? Do any of you consider reading a book and listening to an audio book the same thing?
