Comics outside of "The Big 3"
I started reading comics from Image because I wanted something different. I only knew of Marvel and DC, and Image presented somewhere that I could read amazing stories that weren't set to a specific universe with hella backstory, crossovers and events. But now it feels like there are more companies marketing themselves in what I thought was Image's niche, and I don't know what to read!
There was a really useful comment a week or so ago about Black Mask and Aftershock, and after looking into them a bit, I'm intrigued. what are the best books on them? As well as that, I've heard other names thrown about. Dark Horse, which I thought was just for Hellboy (which I'm not a fan of, sorry), IDW (which I thought was just for cartoon properties, is that right?), Fantagraphics, Valiant... What exists outside of the bubble I'm in? What else do you read?
