Anyone interested in a literature (capital L) reading group/subreddit?
Hey I love r/books and the community here is great. However, lately I've been hankering for broader readers, deeper discussions and people interested in capital L type literature (whatever that may be).
I want a group which reads hard texts and one which even reads subsidiary texts. I want a group not content with the classics either. I want a group that is always trying to stay on the cutting edge of the literary world. I just want a group that really LOVES not just books but literature and the whole baggage in implication, whether that be history, philosophy, criticism or writing.
Some books I would be interested in reading alongside a dedicated group include.
Stoner by John Williams
Gravitys rainbow by Thomas Pynchon
Women and Men by Joseph McElroy
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
Rising up and rising down by William t vollmann
Would anyone be interested in forming a group like that, whether it be here or on goodreads?
