I am reading at a snails pace. Books that can be read in 6 hours takes me around 30 hours to complete, how can I improve this?
I know it's been posted before but most responses are "I'm jealous you read slow because you take in more detail" but the problem is my slow reading speed makes me hardly ever read.
I seem to pronounce each word in my head clearly before moving on to the next and for some reason I would read a word such as 'delicately' and just keep rereading it in my head to make sure I'm reading the right word. Or I might get to the end of a sentence and then have to re read the whole sentence to make sure I've understood it right, I guess I just can't take it in properly the first time. How do I change my reading habits?
