Anticipation for The Largesse of the Sea Maiden by Denis Johnson
I'm personally pretty excited for this work and I pre-ordered it yesterday hoping it actually comes the day of the release. Johnson hasn't released an actual short story collection since Jesus' Son, which is arguably is most impactful work. I read a review that mentioned it being a sort of continuation of Jesus' Son and it interested me enough to pre-order outside of just being a fan of his work. I know the New Yorker released the title story, but I figured I'd just wait till it came because I'm weird.
Edit: Probably pretty crucial I mention that he just passed recently.
