Are there any "Reverse-Narnia" books? Description inside. (Also light spoilers for The Dark Tower series)

I'm reading Stephen Kings The Dark Tower series right now, and in book two at some points the main character Roland gets a glimpse into our world and is absolutely bewildered by things he sees - he calls planes skycarriages, tuna sandwiches are popkins, and every once in a while you'll get a simile where he compares something from our world to something from his to better understand it. Airport customs are clearly some kind of sacred ritual. The drugs Eddie takes - oh that must be just like devil-grass back home. That kind of stuff.

My question is, are there any more books like that? Imagine Narnia or Thomas Covenant in reverse: someone from a fantasy world (or even just someone from the distant past) stumbles into our world and is the main character of the book, instead of the other way around. They then proceed to be scared and confused and amused by our culture and technology.
