Happy 112th Birthday to Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian and the father of Sword & Sorcery
One of my favourite authors of all time. His Conan, Kull, and Solomon Kane brought worlds to life. He practically invented the genre sword and sorcery. He truly built a universe for his characters. Enormous influence in pulp fiction to writers such as L Sprague de Camp, Lin Carter, Poul Anderson, George RR Martin, and Theodore Sturgeon

This is good. But what is best in life?
The open steppe, a fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.
Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!
RIP
