Compare runs on your favorite characters

I think it's interesting to see how writers see characters from one run to the next. Because they have to find a way to keep things fresh, tell stories that they want, and possibly pay respect to previous events. I think that every run has it's own charm and I want to read your opinions.

I feel obligated to share even though I have only read more Batman these past two years. While I haven't finished Snyder's and Morrison's run, I think they have different feels.

Morrison is best for people who have deep appreciation for Batman since Silver Age stuff becomes part of the story. It was great for giving Dick a chance at being Batman and having him work with a Robin while inverting the dynamic. I think I have to re read this later since I would read books as they became available to me.

From what I have read of Snyder, this Batman is more reader friendly. He also presents new concepts making his first arc such a strong start. I have to get through Zero Year and beyond but I think this has been more fun and Batman is basically unstoppable.

King is the only one I have read in entirety and I feel very much loyal to it since I Am Bane. I didn't like I Am Suicide until I saw it as a bigger picture. This feels like the most vulnerable Bruce. His mortality is the theme presented since the very beginning. To some people that's not endearing and it doesn't help with King's dialogue. But his writing to me most closely resembles literature and he takes a lot of conceptual risks. I don't know if they always take off as well but he sure as hell tries.
