I'm considering leaving eBay and starting my own site. My goal is to provided a wide variety of comics and related items. Eventually I would like to try and specialize in something like graded, #1's, charter debuts, or something else. It's my though specializing in something might help me to stand out.

My main question is if a store had competitive prices and a good selection would purchase from an online store not eBay, midtown comics or mile high comics ?

If the answer is no would you mind telling me what would change your mind and convince you to purchase from an independent online store.

In addition to comic book items I would also be carrying, sports cards(well until my private collection was sold off), action figures, a few gaming cards(pokemon and magic the gathering) etc.

It's also my goal that after what will probably be a few years of hard work to build this to a full time gig, maybe even to establishing a brick and mortar store. But in the mean time the web site would be a place to just post my collection and maybe sell a few along the way.

Thank you in advance for your input.
