Best time of day to read "boring" books?
Usually I read before bed. I've been balancing reading one popular non-fiction book then a book from various "top 100 reading lists" For example I read Walden, then the Phasma novel, now the brothers karamazov.
For Walden I had to read 10 pages at a time as it was "boring," taking me about 3 weeks to finish. The Phasma novel took me 3 days roughly the same number of pages. Now I am trying to read the brothers karamazov and running into the same 10 page a night issue.
Its not that I think Walden or Brothers are bad novels, just find it difficult to read before bed as I am not "passionate" about them like Phasma for example. Whats the best way to address this? Should I not be reading books that "bore" me? Should I set a different time to read?
