Happy Public Domain Day! Works by authors who died in 1947 are now in the public domain in most of the world.

NOTE: US copyright law works a bit differently from other countries. Works published before 1978 have a static term of 95 years; works published after 1978 use life+70. So the US will get new public domain books in 2019, when all works published in 1923 (regardless of when the author died) become public domain.
