Hardest book you read this year? Most boring book you read this year?

Couldn't find a thread like this, but...

For me it was easily Gaddis' The Recognitions. And yes, I did kind of make this thread just to show-off, but then again I barely understood like any of it so it's almost like I didn't even read the fucker, in a way.

As for most boring, I'd have to say The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann. Would've liked it much more without the pages and pages of philosophical conversation.
