So I had the Nook on my Christmas list last year. It's pretty cheap for a reading tablet and thought it would be a good idea to pass some time. Ive felt the need to distract myself recently to get away from work and life in general. I have never been much of a reader but thought I'd give a try. The only book I have ever read and retained is The Giver. I just have a very hard time remembering the story unless I can get truly invested into it.. the characters or the setting of the story. I've never had a problem retaining video game lore (WoW, Overwatch, Diablo).

So.. What should I read?
