And i thoroughly enjoyed it! My friend recommended the book to me. I've never been one for Gothic horror reading but i loved all the little detail it paints.

I think the book for its time (1929) is very well written and portrays themes (Not as much of horror compared to todays standards of horror) accurately that can still be interpreted well by a modern audience.

My only critique of the book would be it's ending, the book builds up to this great climax at the end of the book that lacks the depth the rest of the book had.

Overall i think the book is amazing in it's way it conveys imagery to the reader and makes the reader see the book as plausible fiction.

It's my first Lovecraftian read! What should i read next?
