I'm about 150 pages into Anathem, and I'm thinking of dropping it.
What is everyone's opinion on this book? Is it worth continuing? I generally like Neal Stephenson and just finished Snow Crash, but this one is falling flat for me. It just seems like word salad. Specifically how the story starts by dropping you into a complicated world with different terms for complex phrases, and doesn't take the time to explain what's going on. Every time the story gets interesting the plot line is dropped and something else comes up, like the main characters cousin. There seem to be a core group of four or five characters that the main character is invested in, but I just can't find any reason to care about any of them.
