The word from on high is that the new app we're developing must use Azure AD. I'm a relatively junior programmer, and we don't have any senior programmers. I'm used to developing with the authentication provided by Identity 2 and .NET Core 2 built-in authentication scheme.

I created the project using Azure AD, and now I'm lost, and I can't find any good information on the Internet. I may be looking for the wrong things, or maybe it's just sparse. Basically, I don't know how to do really basic things like configure what properties belong to the user.

I can copy over the basics of Identity from another project, but how would I set up the User model? Can I add other properties to it such as with Identity's ApplicationUser? I'm really at a loss. All I can find is tutorial after tutorial about how to create and configure the project.

Any help is appreciated.
