Need help finding resources
I don't know how to quite start, but I'll give this my best shot.
Almost a year ago my mental handicapped daughter (minor teen, lower IQ) had a psychotic break and attempted to kill my significant other in their sleep. She has auditory hallucinations (voices), has created 6 or 7 personas, and delusions that she has been sent from "God" to kill us. She has since been diagnosed as schizophrenic and autistic. There is more, but there's no real reason for me to post all of the things that she did that came up in therapy (from her and her sibling). After we took her to the ER she was admitted to an acute services mental health facility for about a month. She was then transferred to a medium-term care facility for about half a year. We released her into a family member's care since then because she is a danger to us (significant other, siblings, and me) and we've been told that we're "triggers" for her and if she were to move in with us it could cause another psychotic break.
She's been doing better, she's on medication and the professionals are working with her in every way. But now her living with our relative is not an option anymore and we have no other family members to turn to. What I'm asking is if someone can help us? We don't know who to contact. I've Googled so many things that it's overwhelming. We're completely drained by this constant situation for the last year that and we're just reaching out, hoping someone can give us a clue as to what to do next.
