The book is amazing, and i truly believe that the Hugo that won is well deserved. Anyway something mesmerize me, the fact that humans saved themselves through AI created by them, so different to us, evolving through time to be a superior life form, so superior that they plot to save their creators doomed to end like all the inferior life forms that emerge and die on time.

So, if they saved us, its mandatory that they found something valuable in our civilization to be saved, so why they saved us in the first place?

And, is not a irony that a subproduct of modern society (technology) was the personification of our saviors? like we are doomed because we are a disaster as species, rooting and destroying everything around us but our inventions save us in dire times?
