Tonight I went to bed early, to get a good night's sleep before returning to work tomorrow. I thought I'd read a few pages of Gone with the Wind, before I went to sleep... How wrong I was! I've seen the film many times, but this is the first time I have read the book. Throughout the book, I enjoyed the writing and loved noticing the small differences between the film and the book. Tonight started with Bonnie being trained in horse jumping, albeit small jumps. I knew I shouldn't have carried on, but I was captured by the storytelling. By the time Melly had died and Rhett had spoken those immortal words "My dear, I don't give a damn", I'd almost cried myself out of tears and the lump in my throat was showing no signs of dissipating. I feel so emotional, I just had to share. Thanks.
