What audiobook is better than the text version in your opinion?
I love reading and the concept of an audio book always seemed unsavory to me. I have to really concentrate on whatever I'm doing because I find myself to get easily distracted and I always thought I'd quickly lose focus on an audiobook if I tried to listen to one; plus I generally love the world building happening in my head when I read and I thought an audiobooks narration would mess with that too much.
Then I check out The Disaster Artist: My life inside The Room on audible and I fell in love. Being a massive fan of The Room and hearing about The Disaster Artist book constantly at the time I couldn't wait to pick it up, but after hearing endless praise for the audiobook version I decided to make the jump. The narration by Greg Sisterro was perfect, he seemed to convey genuine emotion for every word he spoke about his time on/off-set with Tommy and his impersonation of Tommy's voice is out of this world. I absolutely loved it, because of his excellent narration it became more than just a good book, it became an experience in my opinion. I still prefer to read (real paperbacks/hardcovers are almost always my go-to), but every now and then a special audio book comes along that I love to listen to.
What audiobook holds a special in your heart?
