What do you hate, connected to novels? Is it a word that is misspelled or a Mary Sue character? Maybe a plot that just screams at the world by how obvious the solution is, but because of the famous plot-armor they need to find a different solution?

Mine is people who tries to put others down because of the books they like. You like Twilight? Awesome. 50 Shades of Grey is your favorite novel? Good for you. You like the warhammer 40k novels? You go man!

I love reading, my favorite author is probably Bret Easton Ellis, with Jorge Luis Borges on a close seconds. Favorite novel is 2666 by Roberto Bolaño. But that doesn't stop me from loving Terry Pratchett, or biting my nails for when the next Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child novel will be released, or cheering at the sky when the next Hap Collins and Leonard Pine novel by Joe R. Lansdale is hiting my desk. Or Loving it when I know I have the opportunity to read the next Dan Brown novel.
