What is a grunt?
The definition of a grunt:
“a low, short guttural sound made by an animal or a person.”
Many books describe the character grunting as a reply. What does it sound like? And do we use it daily? Is it like a “hm” or a “huh”?
An excerpt from a book:
“He reached out and took the pack from her. Finally, she thought. ‘Thank you.’ He grunted, slipping it over his shoulder before continuing on without another word.”
