Are you a generous rater or rather stingy with your stars?

My last five star book was The Essex Serpent, by Sarah Perry and I'd recommend it for readers who like literary Victorian mysteries covering multiple themes.

I give a five star rating quite rarely (three times in 2017). I want to be completely blown away by the book to give it * * * * *

EDIT 2 I'm loving this because it's giving such a wide range of recommendations to everyone and has different books than those "best book I've read" lists that tend to come up with the same titles. I'm checking each and every book out. Thanks you guys!
