Do you have a book that is somehow holy to you? A book that is not necessarily the best book you've ever read but perhaps read in a particularly happy or difficult stage in your life and it became important to you in that time.

My holy book is "The Collected Dorothy Parker" by Dorothy Parker. Her wit and insight saved many of my days when I was going through a very rough time in my life. These days the book is something I regularly go back to and to me it remains somehow untouchable and beyond criticism.

If one is allowed to have two holy books the other one would be Sylvia Plath's Collected Poems.
