Advice for talking to a psychiatrist

Hi

First of all from the UK so going through the NHS. I have been seeing psychiatrists, mental health professionals etc for the past 2 years and don't feel like I am getting anywhere.

The only diagnosis I have had is Depression and Anxiety but I think it's something different.

I think some of the problems is my inability to explain to people what is wrong and how I feel. I tend to go blank when I talk to them and can't really explain what is wrong.

I have tried recording a mood diary/writing how I feel down but after it happens I find it hard to explain again.

Has anyone got any advice on this? Could anyone share their process of getting a diagnosis? Am I just overthinking the whole situation?
