My depression is affecting my marriage. Would marriage counseling (in addition to my individual therapy) help?

I've been depressed for some time, and believe that it's causing quite a few of the issues in my marriage. Even the areas my husband can work on seem to end up my fault because I'm not good at communicating them to him anymore.

I brought up marriage counseling to him, and he hated the idea. He says that I'm the one who needs to be doing work (he admits he has faults, but says he already knows what he needs to work on), and therefore marriage counseling would be dragging him into something that's not his responsibility (namely, my mental health).

I can see where he's coming from, but now can't help feeling like I'm alone in these struggles.
