I'm updating my skill set from VB.Net desktop apps to C#/ASP.Net.

I have quite a bit of experience and available hosting with web apps in HTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP in Linux, but none in Windows.

What I need (I think?) is somewhere to host my web-apps while I'm transitioning from VB to C#. I've seen Microsoft Azure mentioned a few times, but when I checked out the site, it looks like I'm signing up for a battleship when I want to learn how to paddle a canoe.

Is Azure what I need, or should I be looking at something else?
