.net pros and cons? From noob to novice.
Hello /r/dotnet
I apologise in advance if these types of posts are commen, but I didn't see anything in the sidebar.
I have learned all that I know about webdev with PHPin mind and as my main language. I just just shy of 2 years ago with zero code experience and was kinda coaxed into PHP by peer pressure I guess. And haven't really given .net much thought until recently.
I tried asking over at /r/PHP which essentially turned into a circle jerk of how php was better so trying here. Which I now know should have been first.
What are some of the pros and cons about using .net for both small are large scale projects.
How does it interact with js frameworks like angular, react & vue.js which are very popular these days?
how is .net suited to building webapps which seem to be on the rise potentially in future being favored over native apps?
Is .net considered easy to learn, hard to master. If so why?
Is visual studio the only enviroment to code .net in?
What are some good sources to getting started from scratch with .net? And when googling issues do I google .net or asp.net <issue here> ?
Thanks a ton for taking the time to read my questions, I hope that I will get better help here.
