Visual Studio 2017 - Stable Yet?
I use VS for my employer's corporate development needs.
I typically wait at least a year after initial release to install the new version.
Last year I decided to just install 2017. Didn't work out for me. Failed installation part way through after waiting for hours. Didn't really rollback. I just had some Frankenstein version installed and decided to get rid of it altogether.
We are now in year 2018, and I see that the Microsoft team is working on that version.
Leads me to believe that all those updates to 2017 should make it work smoother.
But I want the sub's opinion.
And more importantly for me, will 2017 solutions build correctly on a TFS 2015 Build server?
The build definitions typically ask what version of VS you want to compile towards. I'm assuming this refers to the versions of MSBuild?
Upgrading TFS isn't an option at the moment, so I would appreciate all of the support from the community.
