Hey, I would say im pretty tech savvy but I am obviously not as well informed as any of you guys in here so I have a question: Is it possible to track someone's IP in a video game (specifically its League of Legends im mentioning this as im not sure if this doesnt apply for other games) only with messages? I asked Riot Games (the company behind it) and they personally asured me that as its a player to server server to player connection you would need access to their servers for it but ive read online that it is indeed possible, well also my next question would be, how much does the company know about the user as they have the IP? Is the location or any other info specific enough to be able to track who that person is and thus cooperating with authorities, sue them?
