So I'm looking into traversing our entire TFS project collection to look for specific search terms. Some of the data I'm looking to capture are things like connection strings and database objects referenced in the web.config and .cs files.

I've written a console application to do this and it does find what I'm looking for, however when I specify a lot of search terms it seems to take quite awhile to parse the files due to how many projects we have in our TFS Project Collection.

Does anyone know of a better way of doing this? I'm hoping to have this run on a semi-regular basis so we can track the dependencies that applications are using at an enterprise level.
