Transitioning from interpreted to compiled
I realize I could just look at graphs or something.
I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have experience in both(compiled vs. interpreted or Linux vs. Microsoft stack) primarily I'm thinking about jumping into .NET/C#. I realize I am probably screwed regarding how much I have to learn/catch up possibly translates to months/years before I can be productive. I went the interpreted route initially regarding LAMP and can do this full stack.
I've briefly skimmed some intro videos about the stack regarding .NET
Currently my perception is this stack/language is tailored/geared towards Enterprise-degree-required positions. This is where the work opportunity part of my question comes in when you compare .NET/C# to LAMP/MERN-MEAN. Also the server side managing/database.
If you happen to freelance, how is the market in that regard again seems C# is specialized where as there are a lot of random tasks for things that are more open like JS/PHP/Theme-design.
I'm probably extremely uninformed.
I do have experience with C/C++/Java but I might as well be a complete noob right now. Especially regarding SQL server/IIS server. I've so far only used MySQL primarily and some experience with postgresql.
In my area I see a lot of positions for .NET/C#/ASP but there is also a lot of "degree required" which I don't have.
It seems promising though "interoperable", able to develop both desktop/web. So far if I wanted to make an application it has always been web based/I'm aware of-tried ElectronJS.
