I am experienced in C#/WPF but I have never used the prism library before. Honestly I'm not sure what the library even does and I don't feel like I miss something when building WPF applications.

So my question is: Is it worth to learn and use the Prism library for new WPF projects?

I'm worried its something that has been. Maybe its good to know, just so I can put it on my CV.

Edit I should mention that I always use the MVVM pattern in WPF applications (of cause). Also, most of the answers google gives about this is +7 years old.
