What is the difference between Razor pages and ASP 3.0?
This could be broadened to include frameworks like AngularJS 1.x, but I figured I'd keep it to MS tech. I started developing with ASP 3.0 back in the early 2000s, and when .NET and webforms launched one of the big things that was lauded was the ability to separate code from the DOM. I recently started looking at Razor pages and couldn't shake the feeling of how eerily similar it felt to vbscript in classic ASP, just substitute <% for @.
So I'm curious, was there just a change in the predominant thinking about how to manipulate the DOM? Or is there something different that I'm missing?
