Company is planning on migrating to .NET from PHP, what can I expect and what is the best learning resource?

I work at a PHP shop, do mostly LAMP/LEMP development, haven't touched .NET in years. Anyone do a similar transition? How's the learning curve?

Also, are there any good sites/tutorials for .NET? My first thought was Pluralsight, but it seems a bit out of date, unless .NET doesn't move to fast.

Lastly, how is front-end web development?
