I am currently reading up on VSTS as we want to use something of the sorts for our new project (and later on). I am puzzled by Test Manager so I wanted to check with you guys.

If I do not opt for Test Manager (52$ per month per user, pricey), does this mean I am not able to run any of my unit tests? Or is Test Manager used for manual tests?
