I'm looking to upgrade my laptop in the next month or two, and I wondered what suggestions you had.

I'm new to .net development, as I mainly use Python, but I will be doing more .net going forwards so I wanted a machine that could handle it easier going forward.

Im looking at a surface book 2 right now, but they are pricey. Are there comparable alternatives other than the Dell XPS?

I'd be looking for min specs of 16gb RAM, i7 or similar, and 256gb SSD.
