I have a task repeating every 5 minutes, using the SimpleWifi device interface (from nuget) to check if a particular wifi device is active. This is running on Windows 10 and using a PCI wifi card in my PC.

It works well most of the time, but at random times during the day the GetAccessPoints method does not retrieve any available access points (there are usually 3 or 4 different wifi access points out there).

I suspect that the wifi card may have gone into a power save state. Just wondering if there is any feature of the SimpleWifi API which may wake up the wifi interface if this is the case. Also does anybody know where I can find more information about it, or active users of it - the github project has links back to the original codeplex project for API help, also mentions compatibility up to Window 8 but has been dormant since then.
