Assigned to work on an AngularJS (1.1.x) + ASP.NET MVC (5?) + SQLS project; how can I learn the “best practices” of such an old stack?

Pretty much trying to search the net leads to either newer articles, Core stuff, or the occasional single page app tutorial that pretty much just introduces ng-* terms...

Anyone got tips, links, demos, or anything else that can help? This is maddening...
