Our team uses NServiceBus with RabbitMQ as the transport. I've been curious as to whether an endpoint subscribing to a messagetype with RabbitMQ results in a push from the message broker to the endpoint OR does the endpoint poll the message broker for messages it is interested in periodically.

If that is an oversimplification as to how the infrastructure works, I apologize.
