This will be a progressive shutdown, with intermittent failures starting as early as January 28, 2019.

If anyone here uses Google authentication in your app(s), this will affect you. (services.AddAuthentication().AddGoogle).

Pretty shit of Google to threaten API failures only a little over a month away from announcing it. There are a ton of people who use Google authentication.

There is an open ticket on GitHub right now, which I'm following: https://github.com/aspnet/AspNetCore/issues/6069

As of right now, there is no immediate fix without finagling some haphazard code and depending how long it takes Microsoft to come up with something, that might be the only option.
