Could one implement identityserver4 inside you web app (the client) itself? I've noticed the examples showing them to be two distinct different apps, but I'm hoping to save by not having to purchase a separate ssl certificate for each app. Also hosting (azure) would be cheaper.

Its for a small site so I don't have to be concerned about scalability as much from the start and could break them apart later.
