More n00blet questions....

Evening peoples, so I've been working manly with learning C# and hopefully at some point it'll all creep into this 46 year olds brain and bare fruit. My question is with regards to ASP.NET CORE MVC. I see tutorials on 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2. I'm guessing 2.2 is the current version. Then I see something like MVC 5, does that equate into a particular 2.x version of CORE?

Looking at the implementation chart at MS DOCS it only goes up to 2.0. As a new guy not wanting to I would say work on a version that's outdated though I'm gathering 2.0-2.2 have backwards compatibility for the most part.

As a Windows/Linux guy definitely like the idea of cross platform. Not looking to lock myself into the wrong learning path.

Regards,

Joe
