.net core 2.2 or 3.0?
Hi all, So I have decided to learn .net core as my next language, but I am trying to figure out where to start.
I have done extensive scripting in the past mostly in PHP, javascript, and Powershell. I have made a couple of minor applications in c#.
Right now, I am doing IT support, and am the only person on my team that can truly write scripts. (mostly in PowerShell, we are a Microsoft shop).
There have been several occasions that having a web API for certain scripts to access would have been extremely helpful. Some stuff I have been able to handle using REST, SAS, and Azure Table Storage.
If I do a web API it will be on Azure, for that is the direction most of our stuff is going.
All of that being said, would I be better off learning 2.2, or should I take the plunge and go straight for 3.0? I have seen Microsoft has some azure stuff for .net core, but is doing said course going to limit me to using .net core in azure only?
Where should I start?
Anyway, thank you all for your patience and help in advance.
