I have no experience in deploying asp/C# web apps so I'm curious what type of application this is. I know it's a web application with a SQL backend, but is it a C# web application or ASP.NET? I'm looking into how to deploy it and all I can find is to download visual studio and publish it. In the Controllers folder it's all .cs C# source files, but I see ASP.NET files scattered throughout.

However I have no idea with visual studio version it was created with, I've tried 2008 and 2012 and both give me errors about the version of visual studio I was using). Anyone know how to tell which version it is using?
