Hey guys,

I'm brand new to server side scripting and I have a pretty basic question that hopefully someone can explain for me. When you're first developing a website, you start working from a local server. But when the website is launched, how do you transition to a live server? Also, when you're adding new features/testing/running maintenence etc. how do you switch between live and local?
