Hey all, not sure if this is the right place for this but worth a shot - I'm totally flummoxed by this, it feels like there's some configuration I'm missing somewhere, or this is somehow a bug in EFCore. Does anyone have any ideas/input?

Basically if I query EFCore in a loop, even just a `SELECT TOP(1)` for a very basic table, it gets to around 1000 iterations and just hits a brick wall in terms of performance. It waits for 5-10 seconds, then blasts through another 10 or so, rinse repeat. Here's the stackoverflow with an example:
